This winter transfer market proves to be a period of significant rumour and potential major transfers. Numerous notable stars are being connected to transfers out of their current clubs. This article explores a selection of the major names that are poised to be on the move this month.

Antoine Semenyo

Despite the Black Stars' failure to reach the AFCON, this has kept the forward available, reports suggest an important transfer is close. The Bournemouth attacker possesses a contract with a sizeable buy-out clause active for a brief window at the start of the month. Recent developments indicate the Premier League champions look to have won the race for his signature. Other suitors such as Tottenham and Chelsea are said to have moved on to alternative targets, potentially opening the door for teams such as Manchester United or Liverpool to make a last-minute move.

Marc Guéhi

This English centre-back has continued to excel for Palace despite a summer transfer to Liverpool falling through. As his contract due to expire in the summer, this represents the London club's final opportunity to secure a fee for their skipper. A host of elite sides, including Manchester City and multiple continental powerhouses including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, are believed to hold an interest. Yet, a January exit remains unlikely, especially given the coach's dependence on the defender.

Brennan Johnson

The Welsh forward has found first-team minutes hard to come by at Tottenham this term. Although finishing as the side's top scorer the previous campaign, Johnson has started only a small number of league games. Reports suggest the London club would be willing to consider a sale for the correct price, believed to be in the region of forty million pounds. The Cherries are currently leading the chase, with Aston Villa, Brentford, and Crystal Palace also credited with an inquiry.

R. Neves

The Portuguese midfielder might be set for a comeback to the English top flight after a spell in the Saudi Pro League.
