The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.

The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

From Screen to Page

His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
