Tragedy Hits as Inadvertent Detonation at Law Enforcement Facility in Indian-administered Kashmir Claims Nine Deaths
A devastating explosion at a police station in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir has resulted in the loss of nine persons and wounding to thirty-two more, according to authority reports.
The occurrence happened when a collection of seized explosive materials accidentally blew up during processing activities.

The explosion took place on Friday night at the Nowgam law enforcement facility, where blast substances seized from the Faridabad area in the northern province of Haryana were being held provisionally.
Local security director announced that the detonation substances were scheduled for technical investigation when a "extremely tragic" accident during management led to their explosion at approximately 23:20 in the evening.

Law enforcement officials verified that this was an "inadvertent blast" and as opposed to a terror incident. "Any other speculation regarding the reason of this occurrence is unwarranted," emphasized the security director during a journalist meeting.
The law enforcement facility experienced severe damage from the explosion, with neighboring structures also being affected by the powerful blast.
Consequences and Fatalities
Numerous cars were "covered in blaze and turned into burned shells, with debris scattered across the location," according to authority statements.
"The power of the blast was so powerful that some physical fragments were retrieved from close-by residences, approximately between 100 and 200 meters from the security post," mentioned an official source.
Most of the casualties were security officials, along with technical investigation team, two investigative imaging experts, and a garment worker who was present with the personnel.

The territory's Regional Leader stated sympathies and announced that an inquiry had been ordered into the devastating event.
